This morning I was sitting on my front porch, drinking some coffee and simply enjoying the nice morning. I noticed that the swallows which have patronized a few of my bird boxes were actively gathering nesting material, so, as I had small supply of small white feathers, I decided to put some on the grass and watch them swoop down and gather them up. Both Tree an Violet-green Swallows have a strong preference for these to add to their nest, and I have watched them gather these in the past. So I put some on the grass in front of me, and before long they were coming. Every few minutes I had to put out a new supply because they caught on and were coming back for more. I took over 100 pictures and here is my best one. My camera is not the right one to take these pictures, so I was lucky to get this one. Enjoy.
